Chia Collagen Pudding

Chia Collagen Pudding

Updated: 5/13/19

I love to add a scoop of protein powder to my smoothies and post-workout shakes because it is so important for muscular regeneration and growth - but I’ve had a hard time finding a protein that doesn’t hurt my stomach. Whey protein tends to be tough on tummies because it is a milk-based protein that is hard to digest. So after a bit of blender experimentation and reading some new intriguing protein research, I’ve finally found one that works for me - Collagen Peptides.**

There are a lot of new claims being made for Collagen Peptides, and so far research is trending positive for its joint and skin supporting properties. I even noticed that my nails and hair strengthened after a few weeks! If you are tired of whey and looking to try something new, check out my Collagen Chia Pudding recipe below.

*Pro-tips:

  • Add some vitamin C packed berries to aid collagen absorption!

  • Don’t like the texture of chia pudding? Follow steps 1-2 below and then throw it in the blender and blend until smooth!

Chia seeds have been known to cause bloating because of their expanding nature. GREAT NEWS! A way to avoid the chia seed bloat is to soak them before ingesting… and that is exactly what we are doing in this recipe. By allowing the chia seeds to soak for 4 hours we are allowing them to fully expand and therefore reduce their bloating powers.
